Suzanne Clements & Rome Pictures of the Basilica of St. Paul

Check out the art of Suzanne Clements. I saw some of her paintings in a gallery while I was visiting my parents. I like the Butterfly Series a lot, and I saw some of these paintings in the gallery.

Below are some of my Rome pictures from the Basilica of St. Paul (not to be confused with St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City).

I am so loving all of these pictures. I'm curious though, did you write any poems about your experiences?

So far nothing recollected in tranquility about the Italy trip has grabbed me by the throat and said, “Write a poem about this!” This surprises me. When I went to Germany I immediately wanted to write two poems related to the trip (probably because I lived in West Berlin as a child for two years). I suspect I’ll write one eventually, probably about visiting the room Keats died in (have some pictures of that I’ll post soon) or perhaps something about ancient Rome. All the Catholic stuff was interesting, and I’m glad I saw it, but I don’t feel any poems coming out of that.
